To mark the 250th anniversary of Beethovens birth, a chamber music album by young British musicians is now available.The early masterpiece Septet was written for seven instrumentsclarinet, bassoon, horn, violin, viola, cello, and double bassand is a colorful, divertimento-style work featuring wind instruments that were popular in Vienna at the time of its composition. It is one of Beethovens most popular works. The Trio Op. 11 is an approachable piece nicknamed Gassenhauer (a popular song or street song) because the third movement incorporates the melody of an aria from Joseph Weikles popular opera *The Sailors Love*.
