Description:

The Third Collection of Piano Sonatas by Franz Anton Hofmeister (17541812), who was born in Germany and achieved great success as a composer and music publisher. A friend of Mozart and Beethoven, he made an immense contribution by publishing numerous works by his contemporaries. While most of his works consist of pieces for flute written for his friend, the flutist Franz Turner, this diligent composer also left behind numerous piano pieces that, while adhering to the Classical style, incorporate his own creative ideas.
