Description:

The year 2008 also marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Norwegian composer Tveit (19081981). Although he is not widely known, he had a life marked by many unfortunate episodes: his study collapsed due to heavy snow, and ten years later, his home was destroyed by fire, resulting in the loss of many of his accumulated compositionsa truly ill-fated composer. NAXOS has been actively reviving and recording his works, but this album is a bit of a rarity in that it features these pieces performed by a wind ensemble. Please join us to witness the moment these dreamlike, ethereal, and beautiful compositions are brought back to life in a new arrangement. [Comment provided by Naxos Japan]
