BlueChemise, a project by Australian musician Mark Gomes, has released its second album via Students of Decay! Following the highly acclaimed 2018 album *Daughters of Time*, this new release employs different materials while retaining the same sense of simplicity, meticulous composition, and a connection between everyday domestic life and a vast, ambiguous world. In contrast to the otherworldly lullabies of the previous album, this release unfolds a soundscape reminiscent of ethereal salon music drifting in from distant times and places. By combining fragments of personal and aesthetic history in a unique arrangement, it paints a beautiful and ethereal musical world where intimacy and distance coexist.
