Pianist Boris Berman, who has been intensively recording Brahms’ works in recent years, has recorded five solo piano works, including variations and the Chaconne for left hand. Boris Bellman was born in 1948. In 1979, he moved to the United States, where he has been performing and teaching piano at Indiana University and Yale University, where he has earned an international reputation as a distinguished teacher. In this performance, he plays each note clearly, yet the sound is full and rich, making us believe that he is a virtuoso.
