Bachs concertos and his other works are vivid examples of this. When we speak of new versions created by the composers themselves, we are not merely referring to newborn doppelgngers (shadow figures). I believe that composerssometimes consciously, sometimes intuitivelysensed the potential for a new version of their work to create new life.
