Live Performance of the 40th Annual Concert: Captivating Audiences with a Diverse ProgramHeld in December 2017, the 40th Annual Concert featured composer and professor Takayoshi Yanagida conducting his own work, Rainbow Corridor, to commemorate his retirement. Composed with the intention of having middle school students perform it, this piece captivates with its nostalgic melodies and an emotional yet grand sound.Score of the Distant Realm, which won the Gold Prize at the National Competition, was commissioned from Eiji Suzuki; the performance, filled with deep emotion and rich timbres, is a feat only the Bunkyo University Orchestra could achieve.
