The 11th installment features performances by Karl Schuricht, including Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 27 with Kasadosh and Brahms Symphony No. 2. Schuricht, who passed away in Switzerland on January 7, 1967, marked the 50th anniversary of his death in 2017. Schuricht, one of Germanys greatest conductors, made his debut with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in 1943 and, in 1944amid World War IImoved to Switzerland as the war situation worsened. Schuricht, who had been a guest conductor with prestigious orchestras since before the war, had a particularly deep connection with the Vienna Philharmonic; in 1960, he was awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Vienna Philharmonic
