Description:

The Catburgers, a DIY pop band formed in Edinburgh, Scotland, in late 1985. Inspired by a chance encounter with The Television Personalities and the DIY pop movement that was gaining momentum in the UK at the time, they established a fast-paced, melodic sound that fused their love for 60s pop with the dark undertones of post-punk. They performed extensively from 1986 to 1987 and had grown to the point where Dan Treacy approached them about recording a single for Dreamworld. However, due to changing musical tastes and work commitments, they disbanded in 1990. The recordings made just before their breakup have been revived after nearly 40 years as *Galashiels*.
