Description:

In 2019, at the Kunsthaus Glarus in Switzerland, two artists were captivated by each others performances. CATERINABARBIERI, a highly acclaimed contemporary female synthesist, and BENDIKGISKE, a saxophonist and performance artist known for his acclaimed work with SMALLTOWNSUPERSOUND, have released their long-awaited collaborative album via LIGHT-YEARS!This album is a collaboration that challenges the limits and expansiveness of performance through the interplay of the human body and machines. “INTUITION, NIMBUS,” where GISKEs playing soars and rises above BARBIERIs synthesizer; “ALIGNMENT, ORBITS,” where spiritual saxophone and BARBIERIs signature grand, immersive synths create a unique groove, and “IMPATIENCE, MAGMA,” reminiscent of LAURIESPIEGELs worksthis album is the ultimate collaboration, where their “abstract yet cosmic” sounds elevate one another.
