This is the debut solo album by Charlie Horn, guitarist and vocalist for the Cincinnati-based psychedelic rock band InThePines. He blends robust rockat times tinged with countrywith vintage synthesizers he restored himself and layered guitar tracks to create a unique sonic world. Many of the tracks are cast in the shadow of personal loss that continues to haunt him. This work combines unvarnished emotion with a meticulous attention to delicate soundscapes, reminiscent of Conor Obersts *Ruminations* and Big Stars *Third*. Demonstrating the talent as a sculptor of sound honed in In The Pines, this is an extremely personal debut album, tuned to sounds that only he can hear.
