A collection of operetta arias by the inimitable tenor Fritz Wunderlich! Fritz Wunderlich was born in 1930 in Kuusel, Rhineland-Palatinate, to a cellist father and violinist mother. Due to a difficult life following the Nazi invasion and the death of his father, opportunities for formal musical study were hard to come by, and at the age of 20 he was finally able to study horn and voice at the University of Freiburg. By that time, his beautiful voice was already well known, and at the age of 24, he was given the opportunity to sing the leading role of Tamino in “The Magic Flute” at a university performance.
