This album features Christian Ferras (19331982), a favorite of MELOCLASSIC, and focuses on his German recordings of violin sonatas.On piano, of course, is Pierre Barbizet (19221990). While he left commercial recordings of the three Beethoven pieces, as well as the three works by Schumann and Enescu, his performances here seem to possess a greater sense of freedom. As for Schubert and Bartk, it is likely that no commercial recordings of these works exist.
