In addition to his solo work, Christopher Tignor has collaborated with artists such as Rachel Grimes, Helios, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, John Congleton, and This Will Destroy You. For this album, in a small studio surrounded by a violin, tuning forks, pedals, and his own custom software, Tignor has built a performance system that behaves more like a “living instrument” than a machine. Without relying on loops or backing tracks, every track is generated in real time, capturing and transforming sounds as he plays. The result is an immersive, orchestral sound achieved by a single performer manipulating a system where gestures, timing, and chords are intricately interwoven.
