Born in Toulouse, France in 1951 to Spanish exile parents, Malan studied classical ballet from an early age, first at the Conservatoire National Suprieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and then at the Strasbourg Ballet, where she became a classical ballet dancer, In 1974, he joined the Ballet du XXe Century, where his talent as a contemporary dancer blossomed, The following year, he was recognized as a choreographer, and created some of the most outstanding ballet works of all time.In this “Cinderella” setting, all the characters are transformed into life-size dolls by putting on faceless headgear, and they only gain movement when they are brought to life. Everything is a world inside a toy box, where fairies are robots and Cinderella goes to the ball
