Montreal-based multimedia artist and co-founder of the Kohlenstoff label, Maxime Corbeil-Perron, has released his debut album under the new moniker CourantZero. He has sublimated the cinematic sensibility cultivated through experimental films and video works, along with over a decade of exploration in sound art and electroacoustics, into a maximalist ambient electronica. Drawing on his background in piano and jazz drums, he fuses contemporary music, IDM, ambient, glitch, and noise with his unique sense of timbre.
