These are four masterpieces reborn through arrangements by the renowned trumpeter Craig Morris himself. The first piece, Debussys Suite bergamasque, was originally written for piano, but the third movement, Clair de Lune, is often performed by an orchestra. Here, however, this famous piece is presented in a completely different lightfor trumpet and piano. Schumanns *Fantaisie-Stcke* are typically performed on the viola, cello, oboe, or clarinet, and while Brahmss sonata was originally written for clarinet or viola, a trumpet arrangement is likely unprecedented. And Barbers *Four Love Songs* also represent a completely new approach with the trumpet. Nevertheless, each piece fits so perfectly that one cant help but be amazed at how naturally the music comes together. Liszica, who plays the piano here, is a virtuoso known to connoisseurs.
