A tragic love story by Daniel Cuyetthe epitome of beauty and sophistication!Franois Francourt achieved success as a violinist before gaining fame as a composer in the Paris opera world. Franois Lebel, too, made a name for himself as a violinist. Later, both men served as directors of the Opra. This lyrical tragedy, *Pyramus and Thisbe*, was a collaborative work by the two close friends. Pyramus and Thisbe were in love, but their families were at odds with one another. One night, they decided to elope, but due to misunderstandings and miscommunications, Pyramus believed Tisbe was dead and took his own life. Upon learning of this, Tisbe followed him in death. It is a tragic love story reminiscent of *Romeo and Juliet*. The performance is by Ensemble Stradivaria, led by Daniel Cuyer, a leading figure in the French early music scene.
