This is the third volume of orchestral works by Brusa, a female composer born in Milan in 1954. Released more than 10 years after the second volume (as of 2015), this album features her Symphony No. 1the first work for a full orchestra she composed after graduating from the Milan Conservatoryand Symphonic Poem: Merlin, a piece characteristic of her deep knowledge of mythology and literature. Performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Rustioni. Recorded in 2014. (C)RS
