A 1955 album by tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon, one of the leading figures of 1940s bebop. Although he gained popularity during the heyday of bebop in the late 1940s, he released only two albums under his own name in the 1950s, as his career was interrupted by drug addiction. Released by DTTOONE the same year as Bethlehems *Daddy Plays the Horn*, this album showcases his superb chemistry with Carl Perkins (piano). (C)RS
