  Apart from his skills as a songwriter and arranger, his soulful soul singing, which goes straight to the heart, was and is unforgettable. Backed -mostly- by a relaxed R&B groove with Hammond organ, drums, bass and guitar
  “Extension Of a Man” was his last studio album and certainly his most ambitious work, beginning with a 6-minute orchestral piece entitled “I Love The Lord; He Heard My Cry (Parts I & II)”, arranged and orchestrated for over 45 musicians! by the master himself
  The album was produced by none other than Arif Mardin, with Atlantic Records producer legend Jerry Wexler joining in on one song. More proof of the class of the album.
