In Hr, a small village in Skne in southern Sweden, a baroque music festival has been held every year since 2012 by Hr Barock, the early music ensemble based there. The group also gives a chamber music series that runs throughout the year; the number of players and the instrumentation change from project to project, but a core of Swedish and Danish period-instrument musicians based in the region remains constant. Hr Barock is also known for its energetic recording activity. Following “Telemann, Corelli, Bach” (BIS SA 2235) with Dan Laurin and his wife, its recording of Roman’s Music for the Golovin Court (BIS SA 2355) won a Swedish Grammis award in 2020, and the ensemble was engaged, together with the baroque ensemble of Lund, for a complete recording of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (BIS SA 2519).The recorder player Emelie Roos, one of Hr Barock’s core members, took part in these recordings; on the first
