Italian pianist Emiliano Dauria’s new 2025 work, Baggage Room Vol. 2: Mean Whiles.The new work is a new project by pianist Emiliano Dauria. It combines the energy and vibrancy of the American sound with a Mediterranean (or European) melodic sensibility, resulting in an original and contemporary sound born from the fusion of different styles, cultures, and visions.Emiliano Dauria leads a new international quintet on stage, consisting of Philip Disak on trumpet, Godwin Lewis on saxophone, Jacopo Ferrazza on double bass, and Joe Dyson on drums. Meanwhile is the second chapter in a larger project that began with Emiliano’s album The Baggage Room, a musical account of the experiences of European immigrants arriving at Ellis Island. This new project focuses on the events that occur after settling in New York City, weaving stories of people finding new paths and facing new lives.Emiliano Dauria’s
