A collection of works by Greek composer Georges Appergis (b. 1945).A student of Iannis Xenakis, he founded Atelier Thtre et Musique, a collective dedicated to music and theater. While his works have primarily been associated with theater, in recent years, purely instrumental pieces have come to occupy an important place in his body of work. The recording features Uli Hussenegger, a former member of Klangform Wien and renowned double bassist, as well as Sylvain Cambreling, a conductor with a strong reputation for performing contemporary music who is also popular in Japan.Tokyo M-Plus
