• Wrecking Ball marked a major turning point in Harris’ artistic career Artistic output. While she had previously been known primarily as a country singer, her sound became more complex and darker with Wrecking Ball, moving further away from her country roots. Highly authentic and independent, Wrecking Ball was awarded a Grammy in 1996 and also boasts a whole series of top-class star guests, including Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Lucinda Williams, Brian Blade, Neil Young and Steve Earle. Iconic producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan, Neil Young Willie Nelson) shone as producer.
