Geographically, it has long served as a crossroads of ethnicities and religions, resulting in constant conflict; however, after World War II, it became a socialist state under Soviet influence. Yet, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the democratic Republic of Albania was established in 1991 and has remained so to this day. This album features piano pieces and chamber music by composers from different generationsranging from those born before World War II to those born during the socialist era.
