The world premiere recording of a collection of cantatas for soprano and string ensemble by composer Francesco Maria Benedetti, who was born in Assisi, Italy, in 1683.Benedetti began studying music at the Franciscan Monastery at the age of 16. He later served as an organist and then as a Kapellmeister, and was a close friend of Tartini and Father Martini.
