This series by Ensemble Nomad introduces the work of [contemporary Chinese composers], who have become a major topic of discussion in the contemporary music scenes of Europe and the United States in recent years. This album features works by composer Chang Yingzhong, a professor in the Composition Department at Sichuan Conservatory of Music. In addition to winning numerous awards in China, he has also achieved international recognition, including a prize at the 3rd Sibelius Composition Competition. His unique perspective, rooted in the cultures of Tibet and Nepal, creates a truly one-of-a-kind musical experience. In particular, in the choral works Auspicious Sunshine and Himalaya, which use texts derived from Tibetan speech sounds, the scattered phonemes exude a unique charm as the distinctive resonance of the language.
