This Ensemble Nomad series focuses on the work of [contemporary Chinese composers], who have become a major topic of discussion in the contemporary music scenes of Europe and the United States in recent years. This album, which brings together works by composer Song Mingzhua professor of composition at the Graduate School of Sichuan Conservatory of Music who has twice received the highest award from the Chinese Ministry of Culturefeatures traditional Western musical formations central to the genre, such as string quartets, woodwind quintets, and violin and pianotraditional ensemble configurations central to Western music.
