This work, *The Music of the Angels (Lamusica degli angeli)*, is a collection of pieces inspired by the interior decorations of Gut Hohen-Luckow, a Baroque mansion dating from around 1709 located in the Mecklenburg region. Ercole Nizzini (b. 1971), who served as the sites first artist-in-residence from 2024 to 2025, drew inspiration from the emblems adorning the Knights Hallwhich depict themes of love, faith, and morality allegories of the four seasons, and stucco angels holding musical instruments to compose new music. Taking Baroque music as its starting point while incorporating contemporary harmonies and rhythms, this is the world premiere recording of the complete work, which brings the mansions imagery and narratives to life through sound.Born in Viterbo, Italy, and raised in Rome, Nizzini studied modern and historical trombone.
