• The 11-track mixtape, her first major release since 2010’s “New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh),” is finally available on vinyl
  Titled “But You Caint Use My Phone,” Badu references her song “Tyrone,” which appeared on her 1997 “Live” album and turned out to be a radio hit at the time. The mixtape, whose announcement caused a massive stir online, was recorded by Badu in 12 days of non-stop creative activity after she decided to record her own version of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (later renamed “Cell U Lar Device”) for a good friend as a birthday present
  The entire mixtape was recorded, written and mixed in Badu’s own home studio in her hometown of Dallas, where she recorded all the tracks with producer Zach Witnessin.
