Ezekiel Honig, a NY-based musician who ran the music labels Anticipate Recordsing and Microcosm in the 2000s, has released works by Sawako, Nicola Ratti, Mark Templeton, and others, and is also a musician himself. The album is a collection of songs about the city, the forest, and the music of the past. The album is inspired by the sensations one hears while walking through the streets and forests. Pianos, horns, broken rhythms, and fragments of field recordings are reconstructed to create delicate soundscapes with a dark atmosphere mixed in with the beauty of the music. It reminds us that an atmosphere of uneasiness certainly exists even in the calm activities of daily life.
