This unique recording combines works by Brahms and Krushenek. By pairing Brahmss piano trios with works in the same genre by younger Viennese composers, the trio aims to open up new perspectives on Brahmss works. The Feininger Trio is a piano trio named after the painter and designer Lionel Feininger (18711956), who is also known for his association with the Bauhaus, out of a deep affinity for his work.
