fishnarc, also known as a member of GothBoiClique, has released a new album. Following last years *frogsong*, this album was produced by Asheville-based producer Alex Farrar. The title, Uncle = Surrender, reflects his state of mind as he looks back on the past decade with a touch of humor. Its a candid work that explores how he deals with expectations, the passage of time, and who he is now as he enters his mid-30s. While he notes, The younger generation has an impulse toward self-expression, but Im no longer there, the album is permeated by his determination to pour his all into what he can do now. The lead track, MuchLessMe, is steeped in the atmosphere of the 90s, and a music video shot on Super 8 by JolieM-A has also been released.
