Funky Rock band with James Walsh, reissue of their second album from 1971!Gypsy is a band from Minnesota, known for having James Walsh, who later became popular as AOR/Rare Groove, on keyboards.This is their second album from 1971.The first half of the album has a proto-progressive sound with a progressive organ that covers the entire surface, while utilizing its signature Latin rock-flavored percussive beat and smooth West Coast-style chorus work.The B-side begins with a cold and fresh harmony folky sound that is CSN&Y-esque.The title track PART1&2, which is followed by a long drum solo and a funky rock number, and the sad but masculine Southern rock and weepy blue-eyed soul mid-slow, are masterpieces that are no less than the 1st ST, with a finish that seems to have developed the band’s delicious parts in many directions. It’s a masterpiece.
