Pianist/Composer Hanakifu’s Second Chapter. Sensual, tranquil sounds drifting between genres depict a “sense of being alive” that transcends past pain. Featuring Milo Fitzpatrick of the Portico Quartet!Estonian-born, London-based composer/pianist Hanakif presents her second album, ‘Interlude’. This work depicts an introspective journey confronting past pain and loss, gradually reclaiming emotion. Centered around the piano, the soundblending analog and electronics, occasionally incorporating vocalsforms a sensual, tranquil world drifting between genres. Featuring Milo Fitzpatrick (double bass) of the Portico Quartet, saxophonist Pire-Leete Rae, cellist Joanna Gutowska, and violinist Gabriel Greer. The delicate and tense performance quietly illuminates the “life” that lies beyond silence and numbness.
