Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack disc of the 1991 classic “Thelma & Louise,” starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis and directed by Ridley Scott, is now available in a remastered and expanded edition. For the film, director Ridley Scott, following his successful collaboration with Hans Zimmer on “Black Rain,” has teamed up with Zimmer once again to complete the perfect score for this feminist drama/road adventure classic. Fascinated by the idea of composing an Americana score, he took on this challenging task and created a magical sound that takes audiences on a road trip from the Deep South to the Open West. Colored in blues and Cajun styles and featuring the signature playing technique of legendary guitarist Pete Haycock, Zimmer’s score strikes the perfect balance of character, drama, action, and location in the score.
