This is the fifth installment in the organ edition of the complete Bruckner symphonies, currently being produced in anticipation of the 200th anniversary of Bruckners birth in 2024. The series is sponsored by conductor Christian Thielemann.The arrangement of Symphony No. 4, Romantic, was made by Thomas Schmeckner, born in 1964. He studied organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and, while teaching at various institutions, serves as the organist at St. Annes Church. This arrangement is based on the 187880 version (Second Draft), which is frequently performed by orchestras. Given the popularity of this piece, the final result is highly anticipated.In this series, titled Bruckner Fenster = Bruckners Window, new works inspired by Bruckners music are also included.
