Haruomi Hosono, in the midst of various projects underway to commemorate the 55th anniversary of his debut, has released a new release of Haruomi Hosono’s albums on heavy-duty analog vinyl, released by Speedster Records! All titles are cut by Toru Kotetsu, a master of analog cutting. The “Shoplifting Family “Original Soundtrack”” will be released in 2019. This is the soundtrack of the film “Shoplifters Family” directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, which was much talked about for winning the Palme d’Or at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival. Each carefully placed sound quietly echoes along with the scenes of the film, which depicts a family living quietly in a corner of Tokyo. This work by Haruomi Hosono evokes a variety of images. The physical work is only available in analog format. (C)RS
