Hannenheim, Trepluka: Piano WorksThis new album from Henk brings together a collection of rare piano works employing the 12-tone technique by two composers who passed away in 1945.Norbert von Hannenheim (18981945) was highly regarded by his mentor, Schoenberg, who called him undoubtedly one of the most interesting talents. Just as he was on the verge of success, the rise of the Nazis led to him being branded un-German and falling from grace. He was forced to live in extreme poverty until the end of the war and, after spending several years in a sanatorium, passed away in what is now western Poland. Very few of his works have survived. It should be noted that Henck had just completed a 280-page dissertation on von Hannenheim.
