StarterCar, formed around songwriter Oisean Burnett, has released its debut album on Tapete Records. The project, which began with a flyer seeking band members, has grown into a prominent presence in the South London music scene. Centered on an indie sound infused with country elements, the band portrays the beauty and struggles of life through accessible melodies. Recording and production were handled by Joe Futak (lilo, Piglet, Baggio). Featuring contributions from Christie Gardner (lilo), Sophia Bartlett (Tugboat Captain), and Michael Rhea (Symbol Soup), the band has crafted a rich, full-bodied sound. With its fresh and vibrant songwriting, this debut album serves as a snapshot of the current South London indie scene.
