Igor Stravinsky.

Description:

Packed with rare footage of Stravinsky from the 1940s. A realistic documentary that makes you feel as if youre right there alongside him as he creates. While Stravinsky is often thought of as a Russian composer, he actually lived in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, for 32 yearsfrom 1939 until just before his death in 1971.Drawing on footage documenting Stravinskys life and work in Hollywood, Marco Caparbo portrays the elderly master as he struggles with new creative endeavors in his new home. While the footage of Stravinsky in person is invaluable, its also surprising that the filmmakers managed to uncover and include previously unreleased film footage shot in the 1940s. The interview with Robert Kraft is also fascinating. This is a must-have for anyone interested in Stravinsky.King International
