The cellist Jakob Kullberg records Saariaho and NrgrdJakob Kullberg, the cellist of Trio Aristos heard on Nordsending (BIS-2269), returns for his second BIS release: an album of cello concertos by two composers with whom he has collaborated closely, the Dane Per Nrgrd and the Finn Kaija Saariaho.Jakob Kullberg was born in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1976. After studying with Harro Ruijsenaars at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, he worked with Dmitri Ferschtman, Valter Depalj, Mats Lidstrm and Colin Carr, and took his soloist diploma under Morten Zeuthen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
