This album was re-released in 2018 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Gershwins birth. The original recording was released in 1998 on the Dinemec Classics label and features a performance in Glasgow that followed a concert in London celebrating the 100th anniversary of Gershwins birth. The series of events was organized by Frances Gershwin (19061999), Gershwins younger sister. A wonderful singer herself, she performed alongside her husband, Leopold Godowsky Jr. (son of the renowned pianist Godowsky), but for this concert, their son, pianist Leopold Godowsky III, appeared as the soloist. He delivers a commanding performance of his uncle Gershwins piano concerto. Additionally, Frances invited Clbrire to London to conduct that evening, and he performed his own arrangements of Three Preludes and Lullaby.Naxos Japan
