Their regular concert in January 2019 coincided with the 150th anniversary of the birth of Japanese wind band music, making it a truly special evening. The program, featuring Fentons composition of the original Kimigayo and a selection of past competition required pieces, offers a valuable opportunity to reexamine wind band music from an academic perspective.
