Nakako Yokoyamas soul-stirring interpretation of Bach.This is the Exton debut album by Nakako Yokoyama, who placed fifth at the 10th Tchaikovsky International Competition and is active as a chamber musician and soloist. The album features the complete Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin by Bach. Although these works have long been part of her repertoire, she took this opportunity to reexamine Bachs music and dedicate herself to this recording. The result is a dignified performance of Bachs works, showcasing her precise technique and rich sensibility.She began studying violin at the age of six under the guidance of Yoko Murai. She later studied under Akiko Tazawa. She graduated from the School of Music at Toho Gakuen University in 1994. In 1997, she completed the universitys Soloist Diploma Course.
