This is the second album by Kimihiro Yasaka, a pianist based in Montreal, Canada. Yasaka enjoys the deep trust of composers both in Japan and abroad, and his recent achievementsincluding numerous collaborationshave been truly remarkable. This CD was created with a particular focus on contemporary music from Japan and Canada. Notable highlights include the 2019 revised version of Dance Angulati by Lulu, who is active at the forefront of the contemporary music scene, as well as a piece by Herman written specifically for Yasaka. Furthermore, the inclusion of Debussy allows listeners to appreciate the extent of his influence on todays contemporary music scene.
