This is the second release on Sony Classical by Christian Jrvi, the younger brother of Paavo Jrvi. This album is a collection recorded to commemorate the 75th birthday of Estonian composer Arvo Prt, a close friend of the Jrvi family. In addition to Prts masterpiece, Stabat Mater, the album features three works: Symphony No. 3, dedicated to Neme; and the cantata Cantus de Dugre (Song of Ascent), commissioned by the Royal House of Monaco.
