Rada Valeov / DumkaRada Valeov, a female pianist from Pilsen, Czech Republic, and a specialist in Eastern European piano works, presents her second release on the AVI label, themed around Dumka. The world of dumka from the 19th to the 20th centuryfeaturing composers such as Dvok, Suk, Martin, and the Russians Balakirev and Tchaikovskyis vividly portrayed with rich folk elements. The program concludes with an improvisation by Valeov. Naturally, the theme is Eastern Europespecifically the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
