The Organ at St. Anna Church in Annaberg-BuchholzSt. Anna Church in Buchholz is a Late Gothic church located in the German state of Saxony that was completed in 1499. The Walcker organ installed here is a relatively new instrument, built in 1883, and was equipped with the most advanced features available at the time.The works featured on this recording are by 20th-century German and French composers; while none are avant-garde, they incorporate elements of the late Romantic and Impressionist periods, and at times, idioms reminiscent of jazz. This album offers a rich variety of the beautiful tonal colors of the modern organ.
